Sweet Potato and Baaba

Oh my poor little baby. I was trying to cut her nails and she was squirming and complaining. I accidently cut the thumb nail too short and it bled! =( So I sent a text message to Daddy explaining the situation and how bad I felt...here's his reply: "Kiss it for me. She's ok. I punched her in the gut the other day, she laughed it off and socked me in the eye. When I woke up from my coma, we had a good laugh." Ha ha ha ha ha! He's too cute. I love the way they are with each other! They love each other so much! I like to watch them play together...she laughs so hard, unlike her laugh for anyone else. He makes her fly like a superhero and she has the most wonderful look of pure excitement and joy. She chuckles and squeals and waves her arms when he's around. I could have sworn she looked him straight in the face and said "baaba" (farsi for daddy).I bet she'll be one of these kids who gets jealous when Mommy kisses Daddy. Oh my little sweet potato! =D

Cruising, Whistling, Waving

Beebee is an expert stander now. She's cruisin' around on the furniture and is into everything. She loves to rip up magazines, shred tissues, and touch anything and everything that is dirty or dangerous. She hates to be restrained and usually gets upset when I put her in her highchair or carseat. She loves water and gets excited when Anaagee feeds it to her through a straw. She loves it when people wave to her and vigorously waves back, flapping her little arm or sometimes both arms.

She makes me laugh so much. In the morning, she attacks me so all I see is this shrieking baby face and hands grabbing for me...she slobbers all over me, "kissing" me and squeeling. She hits me with excitement and such extreme joy! She loves it when I crawl with her and laughs, making me laugh with her.

She's eating chunky solids now and usually wants whatever I'm having; I take my food, add milk or water, and stick in the mini blender.

Aliyah's talents are limitless. She blows a lot and it makes the cutest whistling noise. Oh my little tea kettle! =D She still loves to stick her tongue out, especially to the side; it looks like a little worm. She also still loves to strum her lips with her hand. She teaches other babies how to make noises by strumming their lips too. She loves babies and bigger kids and whenever she sees one when we're out, she squeels with delight, flaps her arms and reaches out to them.
The other morning, when Daddy was getting ready for work, Aliyah stood at the foot of our bed, watching him intently. When he was ready to leave, he waved 'bye-bye' and she just sort of looked at him blankly. As soon as he closed the bedroom door she burst out into tears. He came back in and held her and she turned to me and waved 'bye-bye' as if she were going with him.

Her cousin, Aaron was born about a week ago. She was so excited to see him and wanted to grab him. When she finally calmed down a little bit, I took her hand and led it carefully to his tiny head. She extended her pointer finger, gently stroking his hair, a curious look across her face. I can't wait until he's big enough to acknowledge her back. I bet they'll be good friends.
